Me diagnosticaron VIH y SIDA en 2005 (a los 43 años). Últimamente he notado un leve deterioro cognitivo. Perder el hilo de mis pensamientos, olvidar los nombres de las personas cuando las veo, tener problemas para recordar. Dado que estoy un poco indeciso sobre si debo comentarlo con mi internista y tratar de obtener una derivación a un neurólogo. I was diagnosed with HIV and AIDS in 2005 (at age 43). Lately I've noticed a mild cognitive decline. Losing train of thought, forgetting people's names when I see them, trouble remembering. Since it's mild undecided whether I should bring it up to my internist and try to get a referral to a neurologist. This same thing has happened before (and lasted about 3 yrs) but cleared up. I have so many other medical issues (most mild) that I don't want to unnecessarily worry about this too.
the older i get the horneyer i get, dont know why except for the the fact that my brain is still in the late 30smaybe the meds i've ben onhas not let that out of my head
I have the same problem now that I am approaching 60, and I do believe the@ Sustiva I have been filling my system with-though it has worked tremendously well, is impeding my long term memory recall. This is not AIDS Dementia, my Immune System is too good for that,nor is it Alzheimer's. That runs in a different pattern of short term memory loss.Take for instance Classical Music, which I have been listening to since I was a baby. I will hear something that I used to know the Composer of and zzzzzzzzzz- My Husband is good with understanding what I am trying to get across, but it is scaring the hell out of me. It is like there is a blank spot there.
I've been + for over 30 years & during the course of that time I've had lots of complication; some mild & some bad. They come and they go, I use to worry a lot about them but I have a really good Doctor & I bring everything too her no matter how seemingly small or silly. She's understanding & takes seriously my concerns, if its nothing, she tells me & that eases the tension. Talk too your provider whenever you have a concern, remember you never know what's important or not & you never will if you don't have it checked out. Don't be ashamed to asks questions. There are no dumb questions when it comes to your health & well-being.

i've had HIV since 1984 and as bad as it may seem it was the first time i ever had sex with another guy and the best day of my life, got me out of the thinkin your straitera and away from the bitch i was married too, i've had almost everything you can think of and a full dietmof pills , But i'll never admit anything from getting a little older, dont mean nothing bad, my brain wont let me get old
i think ,but not sure, after 50 we start for getting things a lot easyer at least i do,unless it was someone i had wild crazy sex with, might not remember his name but i'll remember the body contactnvery well
