Had a talk with my kidney specialist Monday about this. I have stage 3 chronic kidney disease and have had HIV 32 years. Also had my second booster last month. Even being vaccinated my doctor said, in my case, I should continue to follow early pandemic guidelines and stay masked up, keep distance, and be around people I know are vaccinated. I see my HIV/GP doc Monday so I'm going to ask him as well.

I have been HIV positive 30 years and for the last 10, Stage 3 kidney disease. Both conditions are stable thank God. I am double vaccinated and boosted. Otherwise, I now wear my mask only where required - in most, but not all, doctors' offices. To be honest I take Covid very seriously but I continued to be a fulltime in-class high school teacher till I retired last May. Perhaps this is personal to me but I simply have to balance my mental health. I go away on brief trips, I go out to social events, and I still engage in intimacy. I do feel very lucky but I am simply not one to live in fear. Again I am not saying that I don't take the pandemic seriously. Knowledge is power and we are only expected to do our best!
I’ve been positive for 36 yrs. I also have liver disease. I’m have been advised to continue wearing a mask and follow protocols.
I still wear one indoors in public places. Like you I have stage 3 kidney disease the early meds didn't treat our kidneys well. I was born with only one so that doesn't help. I do Hospice respite care and wear a surgical mask and shield when in homes to let the loved one/caregiver get 2 to 4 hours away to do the necessties of live and get a break. Currently have 2 patients.
I still wear a mask indoors. Next semester at the university, masks will be optional now. Still going to wear one for at least 1 more year.
I already had 4 Covid vaccines and 2 flu shots. I take my ART everyday. So its bareback bare face all the way...
