Pregunto porque tendría que modificar mi seguro y dicen que el cambio cancelaría cualquier cita con mi médico de identificación y que también tardaría un mes en realizarse. Recibo mis medicamentos un mes a la vez, pero no quiero. riesgo de dejar los medicamentos 😕
Asking cause i'd have to tweak my insurance and they say the switch would cancel any appointments with my id doc and would also take a month for it to go through.. i get my meds a month at a time but don't wanna risk going off meds 😕

In Oklahoma ID and HIV doctors are equal. There is an IDI and they deal only with infectious disesases.
My ID doctor is also my HIV specialist
Depends on what your Health Insurance mandates. I have always seen all in one situations where my Primary Doc is also an HIV Specialist-until I moved to Hawaii. Have changed back to all in one but it is up the road in the Northern part of the Island. So my Hubby and I get our appointments the same day. Also prefer the Hospital there in Waimea,it is part of the Queens Hospital System-one of the top providers in the State. If something goes wrong,they will airlift me into Honolulu to the Main Hospital. ID Docs do an OK job with HIV, but HIV Specialists are dedicated to only HIV. Nurse Vern say-if you can get one,go to the HIV Specialist.
