You are a true romantic in the classic style. The days of being courted in the proper manner, courtesies extended as gestures of kindness, and alluded by a tall masculine man. These are the virtues of what I experienced between my parents when I was much younger. They truly cared and loved each other as conveyed by their actions every day.
Today's society is completely different where everyone wants, wants, wants, gimmee, gimmee, gimmee. me too, Me too, Me too. Instant gratification, fuck me and leave, maybe I'll call you, what was your name again? This is just the gist of it.
No, you are not wrong to desire these things that make you happy. You seek love, devotion, and commitment along with a physically attractive masculine man. I believe most gay men yearn for this with the physical attraction being the priority.
For myself, I really don't have a preference maybe because I am a Bi man and being with another man is purely physical although I did fall in love with my late partner because he was so committed and loving towards me, and my family and he did things for me sexually that I enjoyed tremendously. I held the door, allowed him to go before me, carried him (literally) when he was feeling down and out, cuddled, I always paid for everything because I wanted to, took him on vacations, rode our bicycles and mopeds together. We were like the best of friends with benefits.
He loved and took care of my grandchildren when they stayed at our house.

Ha I once had a boyfriend that I had to be super romantic with. I would bring flowers and we would spoon on the couch watching drama movies. I used to say to my friends that he was high maintenance but I secretly loved it.

I know is not just about how the other guy looks but it helps when you like the guy you are with and the flowers and doors are fir special occasions, I was raised by my grandmother and she always told me to be polite and nice to other people and open doors and things like that. I like a smart conversation and a fun times too, I like to exercise and walk around and find little places to have coffee or tea or a good meal, I don't need to eat at a fancy restaurant to spend a nice night out with a guy as long as he likes me and I like him and we enjoy each others company. Btw I like to dance hehe.

I'm a big fan of fun sized guys. Fun sized is whatever size we like to spoon and play with.
