Pregunta Sobre Qué Medicamentos Están Tomando Las Personas.
Question On What Meds People Are Taking
I have been taking Atripla for about 8 years now with great results. And with my insurance from my job, the co-pay was cheap. I just turned 65, and now my supplement does not pay well. Are there cheaper alternative meds that I could take that do not cost a fortune? The first refill of my Atripla is $700 a month, which is extremely expensive!
don't forget to ask your medical case manager either. if you do not have one, then you should get one, they are a big help. Here in Michigan, ADAP helps pay for any remaining copay balance, but you need a case manager to get you the help with getting that. ADAP (Aids Drug Assistance Program) is a Ryan White fund.
here is another useful site, if you ask your doctor about changing meds, where you can see if you are covered or not. This includes just about every HIV drug out there. https://www.poz.com/basics/hiv-basics/drug-assi.... Also, if you have a medical case manager, maybe they can help you get ADAP to help cover those copays.
Now that I look at that site, I see it does not cover if you have Medicare Part D, Medicaid, Medigap, Veterans Affairs (VA) or Department of Defense (DOD) programs. Patients who move from commercial to state or Federal Healthcare Program will no longer be eligible.
