Taking meds daily at the right time can keep up undetectable. For some people, after awhile that/those pill/pills can get frustrating. Have you or had you, ever decided to stop taking your meds? If you stopped, are you still off them? If you stopped and restarted, what made you restart? Have you ever thought about it but never did it?

I thought about it but now taking my medicine each day is like drinking water because I know I have to take it.

Ive been through 32+ years of this and yes it got tiresome when you take these meds. I took a year off. I went from undetectable with T-cells over 900 to full blown AIDS. I ended up in ICU with pneumonia. A new Dr and all new meds. Your body grows immune to the previous ones sometimes. There's a text they can do that showed I couldn't go back on the previous ones. So I had a limited list for the next cocktail blend. I clawed my way back, embracing all the side effects to get myself back to undetectable. I was down to less than 100 lbs. I lost muscle mass and nearly died. The bottom line is its not worth it. I know the urge to take a holiday but the end result could have long lasting consequences. It literally took my body years to get back to 100%. It's risky to take the break. I cannot tell anyone what to do, but I will tell you it might not end well. I can't take the choice from you, but if you risk it be ready for the consequences of your own actions.

I took a drug "Holiday" It didn't end well... I don't recommend it. My labs ranked and I had a lovely pneumonia... I was septic in ICU for days. Just set a reminder on your phone, put it by your bed or somewhere you won't miss it. That is the most important piece of advice I can give anyone here. I've screwed my life up enough so y'all can learn from my mistakes... I've got almost 33 years of this. Please don't take a break or not think its serious.

Haven’t missed a pill since I started ART last year. In my mind, it’s like insulin. Necessary. Inconvenient some times but necessary
