World AIDS Day is a day of memory for the beloved dead, Crying, for the current new HIV cases, Hope that future is AIDS FREE!, Beauty the WORLD LOST & Gains from the LGBTQI the Quilt, The first gay synagogue BCC-LA, My gay synagogue from 1996-2004 Beth Rachamim Synagogue in Saint Petersburg, FL and LOVE! Love from all those with HIV, Love from all those who died of HIV...they paved the way for normal life, better life!

I lost 3 people in my family because of Aids. so i honour this day because i remember them and i promise myself not to die with Aids I will live with it.
I want to turn what they couldn't turn positive.I remember so many things and get emotional easily on this day.But am always positive

I always take a few moments on Worlds AIDS DAY to remember all those who lost their lives with having AIDS. 30 years ago when we had not treatment or when treatment just becoming available we lost 100s or even 1,000 of people all around the world because of HIV and AIDS. Even still today we are still losing people but the numbers are very small now of those losing their life to problems with HIV or AIDS. So it is good to have a day when we can just take a moment and remember to think of those who we have lost and pray for those still living while we wait for a vaccine. I sometimes help out at sites with people coming in to be tested, but because of covid, are area is not doing a big event like in years past. This year people had to call for an appointment so that they could have just one person at a time in the office to get tested so not as many will get tested this year.
It means honoring those that came before me who lost their lives. And the lessons that we learnt from them. I used to think of this as a curse but I have found so many blessings along this journey it helped me to be the person I am today and I love that person
