¿Cuáles Son Sus Sentimientos Con U=U.... Y El Problema De Usar O No Usar Mascarilla Después De Recibir La Vacuna COVID-19?
What Are Your Feelings With U=U.... And The Issue With Wearing Or Not Wearing A Mask After Receiving The COVID-19 Vaccine?
Back in 1990,..I remember within our own LGBTQ community, we were being ostracized because a lot of us died of AIDS and were infected with HIV and the population feared us. Today that stigma continues after doctors and the CDC say that a person who is undetectable under anti virals can have unprotected sex with another HIV undetectable person and can even have unprotected sex with an HIV negative person and not infect that person.. (it has been proven medically through science).... but today… read more

Thank you @Un miembro de myHIVteam for the question.
It gives me hope to seek a new partner hopefully one who is HIV+ and undetectable but, if I find a new partner who is HIV- and wants to be with me, although I am undetectable, I feel obligated to tell him/her of my status.
Knowing I cannot infect anyone because I am UD and according to science, I still feel that stigma nagging at me in back of my mind. I am at a crossroads.
It’s everyone’s choice but I think we should all still wear them till this virus goes down in numbers to be cautious! Just my opinion don’t any send me negative comments about it please! I’m not downing anyone if they don’t! But just think 💭 about it!
First the U=U. Thats all great but personally believe you should still take precautions because you never know what other diseases you may be exposed to. You can still get several curable viruses or diseases, but all preventable. I'm also getting my first dose of the vaccine Thursday. My dr and I have discussed all the possible risks and for those of you thinking that you don't want the vaccine please make a list of the pros and cons. The deciding factor for me is the fact that I've already lived 34+ years of HIV and a vaccine can help keep me from getting covid. Seems like I fought too hard to stay alive to toss it all out over a vaccine that doesn't cost anything and has little side effects.
