Should the Positive Community be advocates for sexual health?
This is directed towards our veteran survivors. Should we encourage our heterosexual friends, especially ones over 40, to get tested and get on prep or is this too sensitive for them to hear?
Asking for some friends....
Honestly, most people aren’t trying to hear anything unless they’re faced with it. They think they’re invincible I know cause I was like that. So I think yes we should have open lines of communication about those subjects. But I don’t know about pushing information onto people that don’t want it.
I'd only recommend prep to someone that was actively seeing someone with HIV. Or someone that lived a very high-risk lifestyle. Raw sex is done at your own risk. Regardless of what you're taking.

Yes, advocating for sexual health is important for everyone, regardless of sexual orientation. Many people incorrectly believe HIV only affects certain groups, which can be dangerous. This misconception may prevent people from getting tested when they should.
