Lo más cerca que estuve de ser arrestado fue una noche, cuando estaba teniendo sexo en un parque. Era alrededor de la una de la madrugada, así que no había nadie. Nos divertimos, lo cual, por cierto, duró un buen rato. Mientras nos vestíamos, la persona que estaba conmigo dijo: "Veo una linterna apagándose, pero es bastante tenue". Nos vestimos, y yo me estaba probando el último zapato cuando, de repente, se encendieron cuatro linternas brillantes apuntándonos. Nos preguntaron qué estábamos haciendo, por qué estábamos en el parque, bla, bla, bla. Solo dijimos que habíamos terminado de trabajar (bueno, el sexo ES trabajo, jaja) y que estábamos relajándonos, y lo hicimos, jaja. Luego, cuando nos preguntaron por qué estábamos allí tan tarde, les dijimos que el parque no cerraba hasta las dos de la madrugada, así que no llegamos tarde. Me preguntaron por qué me estaba probando el zapato y dije: "Porque se desató". Bueno, hay que desatar los zapatos para quitarse la ropa, jaja. Si hubieran regresado unos 3 minutos antes, todavía estaríamos en medio del hecho y nos habrían llevado a la cárcel.

The closest I ever came to being arrested was when I was having sex in a park one night. It was around 1 AM, so nobody was around. We had our fun, which did last awhile by the way. As we were getting dressed, the person who was with me said, "I see a flashlight going on the off, but it's pretty dim." We both got dressed, and I was trying my last shoe and all of a sudden 4 bright flashlights turned on pointing at us. We got the 3rd degree of what was we doing, why was we at the park blah, blah, blah. We just said we finished work (well sex IS work lol) and was just decompressing, and we did "decompress"LOL. Then then when asked why were we there so late, we pointed out the park didn't close until 2 AM, so we were not there late. I was asked why I was trying my shoe, I said, "because it came untied." Well, you do have to untie your shoes to take your clothes off lol. If they would have come back there like 3 minutes earlier, we'd still have been in the middle of the deed and hauled off to jail.

Agradezco su servicio al hacer eso. La vida de policía tiene sus inconvenientes. Personalmente, no me atrevería a afirmar que "hicieron que mucha gente pasara por eso". El arresto es en realidad la declaración oficial de nuestro gobierno de que creen que hicimos algo malo. Es raro que quienes lo creen no hayan contribuido a que eso sucediera. La policía que me arrestó cumplía con su deber. El jurado que se presentó a escuchar mi caso cumplió con el suyo.

Me temo que la sociedad se ha acostumbrado a la idea de que arresto = culpabilidad; y que la privación de la libertad es el único castigo adecuado.

I am grateful for your service doing that. Life of a cop comes with a number of downsides. I for one would not go so far as asserting you "made many people go through it". The arrest is really the official declaration of our government that they think we did something wrong. It is rare those who do weren't a part of causing that to happen. The cop who arrested me was doing her functional duty. The jury who showed up to hear my case did their duty.

I fear society has gotten hot to the thought that arrest = guilt; and that withdrawal of ones freedom is the only proper punishment.

Sufrí discriminación de niño, a los 17 años, y me arrestaron en las calles de Nueva York simplemente por ser latino y vivir en una zona pobre. Arrestaron a unos 20 de nosotros esa noche, y justo estaba caminando por la misma cuadra y calle donde la policía decidió detener a unos chicos latinos que pasaban el rato. Iba de camino a casa del trabajo. Así que sí, la discriminación es real. ♥️♥️🥹😌

I was discriminated against as a child when I was 17 and was arrested on the streets of New York for just being Latino and in a poor area. They arrested about 20 of us that night and I just happened to be walking on the same block on the same street that the police decided to pick up random Latino guys hanging out. I was on my way home from work. So yes , discrimination is real.♥️♥️🥹😌
All charges were dropped and the records were tossed after many years of never being arrested ever again..
