What is one 'risk' you’ve been sitting on that you would finally take if you knew your 'balance' was lower than you thought?

If we were all given a 'bank account' of time instead of years—where you could see exactly how many hours you had left—would you live more boldly, or would you become more afraid?

Empezaría a moverme, aunque sea complicado e incómodo.

Porque quedarse estancada es el mayor riesgo.

The risk I’ve been sitting on is actually living again instead of just getting through the day. Reaching out, rebuilding connections, putting myself back out there even when everything in me wants to stay shut down.

If I knew my time was lower than I thought, I wouldn’t spend it hiding or waiting to feel “ready.” I’d start moving, even if it’s messy and uncomfortable.

Because staying stuck is the bigger risk.

Oh hell I have lived on the edge most of my life so I guess I would remain the same sedate person that I have become in my old age .

Pregunta interesante.

Interesting question. I am most likely (but not certainly) in my final 10 years. But more of the truly risky stuff I did midlife.

Y aprendí a perdonarme".

¿Qué riesgo has estado evitando?

If you knew your time was limited, what risk would you finally take?

Living with HIV often brings this question into sharp focus. Many people find that their diagnosis actually pushes them to live more boldly rather than becoming more afraid. A myHIVteam member shared how they stopped trying to predict the future and learned to just enjoy today.

Common risks people wish they'd taken:

- Disclosing their status to someone they care about, despite fear of rejection
- Forgiving themselves for past decisions and letting go of self-blame
- Pursuing genuine connections based on trust rather than hiding
- Choosing love-based thinking over fear-based thinking in daily decisions

A myHIVteam member reflected: "I thought life as I knew it was over... I was human. And I learned to forgive myself." Another said they're working toward becoming "stronger and greater than I've ever been in my life."

The reality is that living with HIV can actually free you from assumptions and help you focus on what truly matters. Many find that accepting their diagnosis becomes a springboard to living more fully, not less.

What risk have you been sitting on? Sometimes the biggest risk is not taking one at all.
