Gracias

I have started taking Triumeq and have stayed undetectable but my CD4 goes up and down. My specialist says it’s fine. I’m just wondering how this medication is working for others. Thanks

I started taking triumeq in July of 2016 and was just recently taken off of it because of side effects I was having, rashes, nerve issues and some neurological damage that I have been having. I was also having seizures and problems with bloody noses and this came to be the main reason I was taken off the drug itself. The best suggestion I have about this drug is monitor this drugs side effects if they progressively get worse then voice these to your doctor and be extremely adamant about reporting your problems with this drugs side effects. It doesn't hurt to tell the doctor you would prefer a different drug if you feel it hasn't improved. My cd4 count never got above 150 since I started and when I first found out it was at 16. The last blood draw has me at 45 but I think that's thanks to the bactrum and azthromycin I am on at this point!

@Un miembro de myHIVteam thanks for that great information. As for side effects I have had none. But if my CD4 goes lower then I’ll take your suggestion I see her in August in see what blood results will say. But I’m undetectable right now. Again thank you for answering!

i have not tried that specific ARV. I am on Atripla, and though my CD4 was slow to rise at the beginning (from just 8- now over 300), it has been a steady upward approach to where it is now. During my second year there was a period where it had seemingly leveled off around 280, but after the third draw and result it had continued to climb. There can be many different results for everyone. Aw l9ng as it ia working, and side effects are not too intense, I would stick with it. Good luck!
