Always had negative thoughts, I think that’s just to do with my childhood. My diagnosis was just something else to deal with so I was told I was “pragmatic” about it when I received it, it really didn’t faze me, I just had to live with it.

I’ve been diagnosed with mixed anxiety depressive disorder (MADD), on various meds to try and control it and awaiting a call from my Consultant to see if I can add another to it as it’s getting worse, especially at the moment.

I can understand people reacting like that, but that’s where people need to be educated more, that’s it’s not a life sentence, it’s another way of life and not an end of life.

When I found out. I said the virus does not define who I am. Not only that I got my neices and nephews to live for. So no.

I was too busy trying to figure out how I was going to tell my then wife about the diagnosis.
I just bit the bullet and told her right away and she got tested that evening at a local testing clinic and tested full blown aids, cd4 around 30.
She had been ill foe a 3-6 months before that and no one could figure out why.
I hadn't told anyone of my bisexuality so we didn't fit the profile so no one tested her for HIV. I learned my lesson, I'm completely open and honest about my diagnosis , lifestyle choices, etcetera ever since .

Nope... Took the news just calmed and rested because I had tried to end my life years before diagnosed positive due to depression, good news was I'm still here.

Been there, done it, more than qualified to advise that suicide is stupid.
