I took a standard 30 day supply of my Bictarvy for a 24 day trip. Sure to the pandemic, I am staying here in the Philippines for another month. I have been stretching my meds out by taking one every 2 or 3 days but I will be out in a few weeks. What should I do?
That is very worrying. But you must do something. I know that if I didn't take my medication daily I'd have a psychological episode. Stress is an added problem. I remember when you asked us if you should take this trip and I remember suggesting to you a firm 'No." Especially as you were going to Asia; the coronavirus was just appearing in China, I think. I'd wish you Good Luck but you need action, not luck or prayers. There must be a way but do not change meds. I am not a doctor but I play one on TV!
That sounds a bit better than I believed. My son is in Thailand and he is staying put. But there is no Corona free zone; like some are saying that Podunk USA will not be affected. One person I know says that the virus has left vero Beach, Florida unaffected! How ridiculous. As if the virus knows where it is going. You are still in danger but at least your T-cells are extremely high. But best to get back on your meds. I am sorry but you are still in danger as am I and every single HIV+ person. Let's not be naïve about this!
Maybe try contacting your pharmacy and explain the situation..or possibly go
To the U.S embassy and see if there is any way they can help..good luck..
I am so sorry for your predicament, I pray for your safety. Stress will not help you stay healthy, hopefully your body can handle a med vacation very good. Positive energy sent your way my friend, and that you start on your meds, when you return safely. Peace
