Love doesn't just mean romantic love to me. Maybe because it's been more than 10 years for me. I believe you can get love in so many ways, which can be fulfilling. I get so much of my love from God, friends, and family. Good friends give me much of what I need today. I'm lucky.

I'm at my best in love and relationship, that's because I'm OK with myself too. I don't rely on someone else for validation or happiness etc...I just enjoy them. Love can be many things too, I love my dog, my job. Love is proven to be healthy and I find its a great support system for HIV. Too many people are lonely and depressed-I had friend write about it in Huff Post and Pink News. This is especially from living in an electronic world with pseudo friends and online dating is the worst. I am a warm human, not a tik-box of perfection competing with 25 other swipe-lefts. . We've lost the warm glance of a stranger across the room thing. How can you notice someone with your face in a machine. I remember a different time when I met my partner. Not overrated by any means, just a little less accessible now IMHO.

Love is not overrated, in my opinion. Being an older person, love and being in love is not the thing with others anymore. Times have changed, and people.. 😍

If you've never experienced real love, you're missing out on one of life's greatest blessings. It's never a waste of time to search for it.
