Me alegra poder ayudar y ofrecer nueva información. Gracias.

Thank you both for your comments/compliments and I am glad I can help and offer new information. I always like to include supporting information along with what I post but forgot to here. I am posting an article in Positively Aware magazine Oct, 2023 and which includes 3 good friends of mines - Wanda Brendle-Moss (who is a HIV+ retired nurse & we have done presentations together), Shekina Rose and Masonia Traylor who are HIV advocates/activists. Hopefully this article gives you more insight on "Pill Fatigue" and if you need more info or interested in HIV advocate/activism - message me & let me know. Thanks

I previously had problems taking my medication. Although I took it faithfully and for many of yrs and were undetectable for many yrs. "Pill fatigue" can become a thing (and especially when going through transitions, problems & ruff patches) - some people may be so consumed in their problems and forget to take their meds (or literally stop) taking their medication bc their "fatigued out" and have "pill fatigue." Not only that, when I was on older meds, I was having side effects from those meds which sometimes made me stop taking them at periods bc I was tired of the side effects. Including, I was also taking medications for other conditions (some which I developed after being diagnosed with HIV). I had lung failure when I was diagnosed with HIV - all at one swoop together - and I was in the hospital for months and my parents told I may not make it. Well, I am still here and after being discharged out of the hospital for over a month and carrying an oxygen tank around with me. But I am still here. Unfortunately, I recently went through a serious condition with a serious GI and swallowing issue (which pills were making the GI/swallowing problem worse) and increasing my GERD/heartburn and burning my throat with the pills scratching my throat and causing me to gag and regurgitate my pills often. This made me go from being undetectable (after many years) back to my viral load increasing. I was devastated bc I had been undetectable for many yrs. Just recently, I decided to go on the injection bc it totally bypasses the mouth/stomach or having to swallow pills. This has been the best decision I have ever made and after a month on injections - I was almost undetectable and now after 2 injections - I am now back totally undetectable. You may want ask your provider if that could be an option possibility for you.

One suggestion, I have a little silver bullet pill capsule ring on my keychain and that I used to keep 2 extra doses of my medication in, in times when if I forgot to take my med or if I stayed somewhere late or overnight and forgot to take my med with me. You can maybe consider that also. There are some pharmaceutical companies who give these out or you can buy these online for cheap. Hope this helps!
