Yo también descubrí quiénes eran mis verdaderos amigos. Sin duda, me hizo ver la vida de otra manera y apreciar de verdad cada día y a las personas especiales en mi vida. A veces, hace falta algo tan devastador y que te cambie la vida para que realmente abras los ojos al mundo que te rodea.

I too found out who my true friends were. It had definitely made me view life differently and truly appreciate everyday and the special people in my life. Sometimes it takes something so devastating and life altering to really open your eyes to the world around you.

You figured out who your true friends are in life, fortunately I had fantastic friends. I taught 15 years after being diagnosed. Once I retired after 19 years and being on antivirals that were taking their toll, I decided to hit the road and travel. Spent a fantastic 7 years exploring and loving every minute. I managed by medications and labs while on the road. Going on 71 and I am giving some thought to ending my travels. I am not sure I would have decided to hit the road if I hadn't been diagnosed in 2000 with HIV.

Unfortunately AIDS came into my life at a young age when straight friends of mine brother and sister died of AIDS due to heroin addiction. Then the cards started falling quickly so I never had a life without hiv. I've lived my life accordingly.❤️
