I’ve read that those of us on once daily ARVs might be a thing of the past in the very near future. Many studies are showing real promise that injectables are going to be the new gold standard treatment.we have cabanuva currently but from what I’m understanding soon there will be more injections options where one injection a month is all that’s needed. Now that the pharmaceutical companies have found a way to keep us alive for 30+ years with a one a day pill,what’s the incentive for them to come up with another pill. Me doy cuenta de que muchas mujeres jóvenes se unen a nosotros aquí desde todo el mundo. Si bien les doy la bienvenida, me entristece que no se haya podido evitar su infección. Veo anuncios que alientan constantemente a los hombres homosexuales VIH negativos a tomar PrEP. Conozco hombres homosexuales cuyos médicos recomendaron la PrEP. Quizás simplemente me lo estoy perdiendo, pero no veo el mismo impulso para las mujeres sexualmente activas.

I’m noticing so many young women joining us here from around the world. While I welcome them, I’m sad that their infection wasn’t avoided. I see advertisements constantly encouraging HIV negative gay men to go on PrEP. I know gay men whose doctors encouraged PrEP. Perhaps I’m just missing it, but I don’t see the same push for sexually active women.
