This article was in I think the latest POZ magazine. This man has pretty much dedicated his life with HIV trying to keep the legacy alive for those that died from AIDS. And what it was like back in the 80's compared to now. I admire his telling our story as part of what he does for a living. That terrible period of our life and those people who past, those who cared for them, and those that were left behind needs to forever be told. I hope the link works;

Oh what can I say what a powerful article and a beautiful story. It tells so much about what this man has endured and also persevered from age definitely has even impacted my life back in the day when I lost friends to it it was horrible experience and what I went through in my diagnosis as I read his article I almost teared up. But I believe that things happen for a reason and exactly what this man was saying God uses us for certain things and needs us to help others that are hurting and suffering from this disease and to reach out just like this platform is doing but people dealing with issues with living with HIV. Jeff I thank you my handsome friend for this article I could Babylon about a lot more but it's a wonderful story wonderful article should I say I do hope you're doing well. Continue to stay safe my beautiful friend love Trey ❣️

Back then a friend of mine just wanted to go back home to his mom's house in Phoenix and none of the airlines would let him fly because he had AIDS. Eventually, one of the airlines relented and he did end up going back home before he died.

I remember these days way to vividly and always used protection and freaked if a condom broke. Then got into a committed relationship 83 to 93 no protection but got tested every 6 months by my company as I came in contact with biologicals often. After we broke up a friend I had know for 12+ years and I moved in tried make a go of it, protection for the first 6 months then the doctor said we should be safe, still was tested by my work as before. 2 years into the relationship while I was out of town for work he moved out as he cheated. My worked tested uopn returning and found on my birthday 11/18/1996 I was positive knowing the time frame only one way I could of got it and he finally confessed and even knew shorty after being with the two guys they told him they were positive. The betrayal was worse than the disease at first. I held the hand of many dying friends and even did some celebrations of life. Didn't have sex for almost 20 years, in 2012 I finally became undetectable but sadly the early meds had destroyed my nervious system and on 01/2013 woke up in the hospital completely paralized, finanly got some us of my uooer body afer 23 days. I was sent to in patient hospice not expected to live 3 weeks, weighed only 106 lbs. Even took what we all thought was my last communion and remember Pastor Carl say to his wife we will never see him again. A great CNA and nutritionist, with PT and OT got me good in a wheelchair and I prayed to get out in one. Finally after 9 months I started to get feeling in my legs and with a lot of work got out on 10./31/2013 walking with braces and crutches. In 8/2018 had a right knee replacement a left knee repair and have walked carefully ever since. 2/2019 went on 1 pill a day Juluca and no side effects except weight gain which I am working on with 2 days of exercise (gym) and cutting down oin my food intake. At 67 I feel very fortuniate and thank God always and serve God full time now. Pastor David Note: Though I know I have God by myside I would really love to have someone to share my life with~!

A good writing it is . Thank you
God has not forgotten us I thought would be dead but still here never been sick since I started treatment this may will be 15years since I diagnosed. Here in Uganda pple died in horrible scary looks in the 80s and 90s reason stigma is still high. Thank God the govnt provides 100% free treatment . It's not a death sentence anymore
