Si Pudieras Hacer Un Gesto Caritativo, ¿cuál Sería?
If You Could Do One Charitable Gesture, What Would It Be?
Con todas las necesidades del mundo, la falta de vivienda, la pobreza y demás... ¿qué harías... si tuvieras una oportunidad de oro?
With all the needs in the world, homelessness, poverty and so forth......what would you do ,...given one golden chance?
I would build a tiny house village for homeless vets. A therapy garden to help them heal. Id make it big enough so my grandparents had a place too. Live next to them and well have our own meditation garden!
It is a tradition for me and my family to feed the homeless folks at our favorite beach, (Kanaha) when we barbecue, they know our vehicles and will linger around our picnic tables and canopies. We never turn anyone away who is thirsty or hungry meaning we bring a lot of food to share. We don't like taking any leftovers home after a day at the beach. Hawaii's weather is conducive to living outdoors year-round.
No alcohol, just water and canned juice, sandwiches, chips, rice and beans, barbecue chicken, teriyaki beef and pork, corn on the cob, potato macaroni salad, watermelon, pineapple, day old pastries from my neighborhood bakery, etc.
Having done this with my grandchildren numerous times throughout the year will instill compassion and empathy in them as they grow older. It is always a beach day in Hawaii no matter what island you are on.
I also donate monthly stipends to my favorite charities, Maui Humane Society, Int'l Fellowship of Christians and Jews, Maui AIDS Foundation, Boys and Girls Club of Maui, St Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, and the Red Cross.
I feel good knowing I am capable of helping those charities that I believe in.
At my work we donate tons of food and incidentals to the Maui Food Bank and "Feed My Sheep"
When I was young, I delivered "Meals on Wheels" to the homebound elderly and special needs citizens in my neighborhood. I always felt the need to reach out and help those who can't barely help themselves. This was instilled in me at a young age being a Cub scout, Webelo, then a Boy Scout. I carry on this tradition till this day.

Access to medication is often restricted to more wealthy countries. I would improve medication access worldwide.
It hurts my heart to see homeless people. I would love to have vacant buildings in my town turned into shelters to get people off the streets. They need help other than holidays and nights below 32⁰
To be completely honest I will give my charity to cancer. Cuz we keep on getting killed off by something that's hard to find the cure for
