I had the experience with an internist here on Cape Cod. He was specific about it, indicating he had OTHER health issues that left HIS immune system compromised as well. He was reluctant to deal personally with that risk of his own health. I fully understood. His being authentic with me about the "real reason" even though it may have been medically unnecessary, given my undetectable status even then, he left me to understand that it was HIS "stuff" and NOT mine. That's ok with me. I found another physician. All is well. I have no resentments toward him.
