No tengo seguro. El médico cobra $125 por la primera… leer más
I have been going to what used to be called the "AIDS clinic". Their name has changed and so has their location. It is government funded and since I don't work, I'm considered "poor" and the government pays my labs and visits. At one time they were my primary doctor. Then they told me they were only dealing with AIDS or HIV related illnesses. I found one of the doctors that used to see me at the clinic. I have no insurance. The doctor charges $125 for the first visit, then $50 for follow ups… read more
If you are not working, you should be able to qualify for ryan white assistant or adap.
Have you tried healthcare.gov? They first tell you to apply for medicare or medicade but if you don't qualify, then you qualify for healthcare.gov. healthcare.gov goes by your income and if you have none, then they should pick up the entire cost of a health insurance plan.
Good morning and thank you for asking your question. First in order to answer properly I needed to see where you're from and I see you're from Texas. Please know that every state has different HIV laws unfortunately. Having said that you live in a conservative red wing state that does pull money from HIV funding. For example here in Illinois there is a vast array of HIV money and funding. They begin with Ryan White Services, adap and Medicare. You should qualify for all of these. If you are making money or Deemed to have too much money they may not qualify for Medicaid but they should qualify you for a spend-down program with Medicare. You should have an HIV Clinic and I do not know why you cannot go back to the clinic because you are still a person with HIV and they should still see you there. Again I am not familiar with the laws of Texas you must get familiar with the laws of Texas what I would do is go to an lgbtq or HIV clinic or Center get a case manager and someone to do the homework for you to see where you qualify to have your doctor and your meds paid for. Please do this first thing in the morning call your local HIV agency or lgbtq-friendly clinic and ask these questions
Thank you! I'll call and see if I can get the answers or help I need! 😉
