I'll wait until they are every 6 months or better. Plus I want to see what everyone else side effects are. And how easy is it to get out of your system if it doesn't work for you. My dr hasn't mentioned it to me. And from everything I know about her in our 8 years. She's pretty cutting edge and well researched. My other issue is. I can't have my life held to making a dr's appointment. I need some leeway in scheduling and I'm afraid my treatment would suffer. I could see myself driving across the city like a mad man trying to get my injection on the very last day possible.

Well I asked my GP last early spring about them when I got my blood test results. I was still undetectable and he said "Sure. I don't see any reason why not" He started me on two pill's a month to see how I tolerated them. He told me that after the month is over. I will start you on the injections. The way it goes, is that the nurse injects the medication in to each bum check. It was a bit painful at first but after a few month's, I got used to it and now I'm on every other month for the injections and I'm loving it.

I started taking the Cabenuva injections two months ago, and have my second next week.
For me, it was a game changer! Not having to take a pill everyday, especially while on vacation, no side affects, and generally feel healthier. I’ve heard others talk about the pain from the injections…mine were a piece of cake. Easy, fast injections, didn’t even feel them, honestly, and a bit of a sore butt for a few hours after, that’s it. I highly recommend, but I know everyone’s different.

Studies and results have already been published over a 10-year period. Sounds like stalling to me. A clinic has to be ready. I asked my clinic to get ready shortly after approved by the FDA 2 years ago. I've been on them ever since, from 1 month to 2 months now. Yes, the shots can be painful, mainly the Cabotegravir, but the soreness goes away in about 48 hours. Just keep active and prepare.

I love the shots. Ever since I started them last April. My CD4 Count is slowly going up. My last count was over 400 and those monthly shots turned into every other month. I have my blood test at the end of May and see my Doctor early June. It's up to the individual if they want it or not.
