I think giving to a charitable organizations is a wonderful thing to do. Humanity can't be strengthened without the kindness of others. Giving is a wonderful thing and it usually shows the true character of the individual. In life you just have to take sides.

I have helped no-kill animal shelters with free vendor space at all the cat shows I produce. Another thing that I do is ask for the spectators to bring some cat food to the cat show that I then give to the shelters attending that particular event.
I have also helped to raise a sustaining $25,000 scholarship at Tufts University Veterinary School for someone from Massachusetts who will specialize in feline practice or research.
